"content": "
We asked participants to share their BirdCLEF 2022 attempt with the scientific community through submitting a working note to the CLEF 2022 conference. Five teams followed our call for papers, and we reviewed and rated each one of them. I am happy to announce the two best working notes, which will be awarded with $2,500 in GCP credits each:
\n
M. V. Conde & U.-J. Choi: Few-shot Long-Tailed Bird Audio Recognition, Team \"Golden birds\", Download preprint
\n
A. Miyaguchi, J. Yu, B. Cheungvivatpant, D. Dudley & A. Swain: Motif Mining and Unsupervised Representation Learning for BirdCLEF 2022, Team \"DS@GT\"
\n
The three remaining (also very good) working note submissions are (in no particular order):
\n
A. Sampathkumar & D. Kowerko: TUC Media Computing at BirdCLEF 2022: Strategies in\nidentifying bird sounds in a complex acoustic environment, Team \"Arunodhayan\"
\n
E. Martynov & Y. Uematsu: Dealing with Class Imbalance in Bird Sound Classification, Team \"UEMU & slime\"
\n
S. Krishnan, P. Khandelwal & R.
