For example, consider the letter \"খ\" (kha) = \" খ্‌ + অ \" (kh+a). Now if I want to use খ without the associated অ, then we use  ্ (virama) with the letter. </p>\n<p>So, for the word you mentioned, খুঁতখুঁতে, the ত (ta) is pronounced as ত্‌ (t).</p>",
