Indeed, one particular model outperforming the DenseNet in this competition seems to be the SEResNext that was proposed in <a href=\"https://arxiv.org/abs/1709.01507\">this paper</a> which was published just last year whereas the paper you quote is from 2018. As DL has been very trendy, such model comparison tend to be very fastly \"<em>obsolete</em>\". But it gives good insight anyway about other possibilities so thank you for the share!</p>",
