  "content": "<p>Hi - I'm a little unclear on the correct interpretation of the Category table. I was assuming it represents a sort of tree with the ad or product categories.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>But if I follow a 'chain' of CategoryID --&gt; ParentCategoryID I get cycles, e.g.</p>\n<p>0 --&gt; 10 --&gt; 8 --&gt; 2 --&gt; 12 --&gt; 6 --&gt; 4 --&gt; 2 again</p>\n<p>So I guess I'm misinterpreting things. Can someone explain?</p>\n<p>Thanks!</p>",

Codes from one column does not correspond to the codes from other column.</p>\n<p>CategoryID contains the ID of ad/search/impression category or subcategory.</p>\n<p>ParentCategoryID is parent code for&nbsp;CategoryID.</p>\n<p>Level ==&nbsp;3 for subcategory, 2 for category, and 1 for outer search/impression (when no category was specified).</p>\n\n<p>For example, categories (CategoryID) 10, 20, 31, 45, 46, 49, and 59 share same ParentCategoryID (which is 8).</p>\n<p>Categories&nbsp;10, 20, 31, 45, 46, and 59 are child categories (Level = 3), category 49 is root category (Level = 2).</p>\n\n<p>You can ignore&nbsp;&nbsp;SubcategoryID, as all information you need is in the first 3 columns.</p>",
