  "content": "<p>Can someone summarize what the terms about the data mean? <br>\n    D_* = Delinquency variables<br>\n    S_* = Spend variables<br>\n    P_* = Payment variables<br>\n    B_* = Balance variables<br>\n    R_* = Risk variables</p>\n<p>Never heard of delinquency, and while Google might give me some high-level definition, what do these mean in this dataset? Any links/notebooks to illustrate would also be a nice start.</p>\n<p>tHanks!</p>",

      "content": "<p>Here’s the definition of delinquent:</p>\n<p><a href=\"https://www.investopedia.com/terms/d/delinquent.asp\" target=\"_blank\">https://www.investopedia.com/terms/d/delinquent.asp</a></p>\n<p>I think “past due” is the best  explanation.  Before someone defaults they are “past due” on their payments for a period of time.  After being “past due” for a period the customer moves into default   Not everyone who reaches “past due”defaults, of course, because they eventually make the necessary payments. </p>",

I know there is generally an attitude in ML that the meaning/interpretation of the variables is irrelevant, but I think most people with natural science background know that \"following the units\" is key to alot of models.</p>",
