  "content": "<div class=\"x_im\">Hi all,<br>\r\n<br>\r\nThe (formerly) top-ranked contestant in this competition (erdman)&nbsp;elected to remove his top entry as not complying with the rule about&nbsp;mixing data sets. He contacted both me and the competition sponsor as&nbsp;soon as the competition ended to let us know that he\r\n suspected the&nbsp;entry doesn't satisfy the requirements (and we agreed). Given that&nbsp;Travis was so forthright (his comments on the submissions themselves&nbsp;even suggest this outcome), it's clear to us that the right response&nbsp;is simply to remove that entry and score\r\n the competition as if it&nbsp;didn't exist.&nbsp;<span>I've now done so now, and the new leaderboard reflects the order of the remaining entries (erdman's best rules-compliant entry achieves 2nd place):</span></div>\r\n<p><span>1st: Richard Courtheoux</span><br>\r\n<span>2nd: erdman</span><br>\r\n<span>3rd: PlanetThanet</span></p>\r\n<div class=\"x_im\">We (obviously) won't pursue any changes to the ranks further down the&nbsp;leaderboard.<br>\r\n<br>\r\nCongratulations to all of the winners, and we appreciate everyone's&nbsp;work on this competition -- I understand that this rule was a bit of a&nbsp;pain.
