  "content": "<p>This is the first time I used kaggle api to join a competition and it's really good when working with remote machines. Sending my thanks to Kaggle Team. However, I faced an issue after I downloaded competition datasets with api command. When I tried to read files with '<code>pd.read_csv(file_path)</code>' , python gave following error:</p>\n\n<p>&gt; \"OSError: Initializing from file failed\"</p>\n\n<p>Through my google searches I found that the error was because the downloaded files do not have read permission.\nSo for those who experienced/will experience the solution is enabling permission with the following command:</p>\n\n<pre><code>chmod 777 file_path\n</code></pre>",
