  "content": "<p>The position of the ball in football determines essentially everything important about the outcome of a play (other than penalties), from yards gained/lost to first downs and scoring. I could be missing something, but it seems that there is no data available related to ball position. This makes it difficult to investigate things like player position and speed at key points in time and in relation to the ball. Also, we don't get to see plots with little footballs flying around.</p>",

It's possible to locate it at specific events ie \"punt received\", but it doesn't paint the complete picture.  One example that I am having trouble producing is locating the football when it is not caught and first hits the ground.  Would love to be able to see how this position relates to the ending position and overall outcome (return, out of bounds, touchback etc.)</p>",
