This is an experimental format for us and it will be a little different than the machine learning competitions you all know and love. One of the most important differences is how winners are determined. Kaggle's traditional machine learning competitions use fancy robots and algorithms to score your submissions and generate a live leaderboard. In Analytics competitions, the hosts will determine the best submissions by evaluating your analyses against multiple criteria. If you've participated in any of our Data Science for Good Challenges, you'll be familiar with the format.
\n\n
Here's how this works:
\n\n
\n

The competition host presents a problem and provides a dataset.

\n

You analyze the data using any method you want. You can use machine learning, pie charts, TI-83+ calculators, whatever. For this competition specifically, your final submission needs to be in the form of a presentation with your analysis done in a Kernels notebook. Ultimately, your goal is to find a solution to the problem and convince the host that your approach is the best by presenting your evidence.

\n
\n\n
We're super pumped! This challenge is really interesting and a great opportunity to make available on Kaggle. Thanks to the NFL for hosting, and welcome to the competition!
",

    "433140": "# What's an Analytics Competition?\n\nHi Everyone,
\n\nWelcome to the Kaggle Analytics Competition!\n\nToday we're throwing something new at you and we're super excited to be working with the NFL to bring you this new competition format. If you've participated in any of our Data Science for Good Challenges, you'll be familiar with the format.\n\n\nHere's how this works:\n\n- The competition host presents a problem and provides a dataset. \n\n- You analyze the data using any method you want. You can use machine learning, pie charts, TI-83+ calculators, whatever. For this competition specifically, your final submission needs to be in the form of a presentation with your analysis done in a Kernels notebook. Ultimately, your goal is to find a solution to the problem and convince the host that your approach is the best by presenting your evidence.\n\n\nWe're super pumped! This challenge is really interesting and a great opportunity to make available on Kaggle. Thanks to the NFL for hosting, and welcome to the competition!",
    "436358": "Please do more of these. These types of datasets are much more democratic. I don't have a team of CS PhD's working with me or access to supercomputers. This is much more satisfying than getting in the top 50 of a prediction competition.",
    "433324": "I hope this format takes off. \n\nHave any attempts been made to reduce biases and discrimination? For example it would be cool if the evaluators would not see who is the author of a kernel. Just a thought.",
    "436695": "And let the show begin!",
    "433438": "One sec, so you are giving us the chance to change the game for good? I think this is Data Science for Good !\n\nIn btw, https://www.kaggle.com/c/player-safety-analytics-competition#evaluation link is broken?",
