  "content": "<p>I am considering joining or helping to create a team for the LANL Earthquake Competition.  Perhaps in the Colorado, USA area, perhaps an Internet team.  I am low on Kaggle experience, but I have put a lot of effort into this challenge.</p>\n\n<p>Any prospective team member who is not a Kaggle Master should have also made some significant effort in this challenge as evidenced by a reasonable number of contest entries.  We should all bring something to the team in the way of independent ideas and problem experience.   Even black eyes and bloody noses on this noisy, difficult challenge can be valuable; I certainly have my share of these.</p>\n\n<p>For me this is a Master’s degree final project, but that will be complete very soon so I can consider becoming part of a team.   I feel that I have put significant effort and ideas into this problem already that might be helpful.  With noisy data, few actual earthquakes and a small amount of public leader board data it is difficult to be sure about what will work best.  I guess we will know when the final leader board is revealed.  But, I believe that I have put in enough independent effort in to be a contributor on a team.</p>\n\n<p>I am also very open to joining a team led by someone with much more Kaggle experience than myself.</p>\n\n<p>Kevin, aka Vettejeep\nVettejeep365 at gmail dot com</p>",
