"content": "<p>Hello, I am unfamiliar with the lab used to produce the Acoustic and time to failure information. I understand dfrom what I read that the lab represents a fault. The reason why this is important, to me at least, is I have a hypothesis that needs to know if the lab is exerting pressure againsts the plates in an upward or sideways direction. The reason I believe this is important is that my hypothesis is earthquakes may not only be upward volcanic activity but sideways crinkling from the earth actually cracking open like an egg originating from the center of the Atlantic ocean, basicly the reason our earthquakes are happening is because our earth is expanding its diameter. I understand this is a stupid hypothesis but it may be supported if there have been more recorded earthquakes closer to the east and west of the fault line in the Atlantic and less recorded earthquakes the farther you go from this central point due to the earths core experiencing hyper efficient fusion and by producing more heat than it dissipates it indefinitely expands, giving us earthquakes from pressure buildup sideways instead of upwards. If this hypothesis is supportable I belive we may have a good model to work with in estimating tension of miner states respective to the center fault in the Atlantic gauged with potential expansion in the earths core and influence to the earths mantel. So to state the question again is the lab exerting pressure upwards or sideways against the labs fault thank you, I am an infantryman I didn't go to college, and for a reason. If anyone could help me out with this that would really make my day, thank you again. also if this hypothesis has any merit it could lead to Earthquake predictions in succession i.e. an earthquake happens near the Atlantic fault, it may allow prediction in expanding consecutive areas away from the fault simple model being all the way to the pacific ocean in a perfect simple model, that conceptualizes, simply, the hypothesis. </p>",
