      "content": "<p>I don't know exactly how Octave works, but problem may be you are accessing a function which is not in the working directory. Try running something like<br>\r\n<span style=\"font-family:'courier new',courier\">addpath(genpath(code_dir)); (line 65 in main.m)&nbsp;</span><br>\r\nbefore you call mmread. When I start Matlab to work on this challenge, first thing I do is run main.m and interrupt it after a second, so it recognizes also contents of subfolders.</p>",

      "content": "<p>There's some work to do on the sample code in order to get it running on Octave... it uses new-style Matlab classdef's which the latest version of Octave does not support. There are many other exceptions as well, like using java objects as array indices...\r\n which won't be as easy to adapt.</p>\r\n<p>I know Matlab is more popular with the contestants thus-far but it's a bummer the sample code wasn't written in something freely distributed.</p>",
