  "content": "<p>Can we use the code publicly available on the web for extracting features?</p>\r\n<p>Many features need to be extraced in the way described in some of the published papers, or use some of the library like opencv. Can we use those to build the prototype for participting in this competation? As far as I know some of the feautres are patented\r\n though codes are available. Not sure how Kaggle will restrict the use of third party codes.</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>Best Regards,</p>",

It is your responsibility to make sure you are not infringing on 3rd party rights. Also, you may be interested in licensing your code to Microsoft (see the rules). In that case, it may\r\n be a disadvantage to be encumbered with 3rd part licenses and novelty will be an element of consideration.</p>",
