  "content": "<p>I'm starting to look at the Depth data from the kinect.</p>\r\n<p>It seems that it's given in a 320 x 240x 3 RGB style format. I'm not sure if I get this right, but R-G-B values for the same depth pixel seems to differs from one another by small values. Not sure where the difference comes from, I'm afraid I'm missing something\r\n more fudamental here :)</p>\r\n<p>I did not find information beside the depth scaling at the end of the readme for each Batches.&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>From the Readme.</p>\r\n<pre>set\tnum\tmini\tmaxi\tresol\tacc\t   <br>devel\t1\t801\t1964\t76\t2</pre>\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<p>Is there units attached to min/max depth ?       "content": "<p>I posted a <a href=\"http://www.kaggle.com/c/GestureChallenge/forums/t/1208/a-technical-question-on-kinect-color-data\">\r\nquestion</a> about this very point.</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>My guess is to use only the Green channel, as this seems to have the biggest spread.
